The core employees of LSI were involved in airborne laser mapping systems from the early 1980s and pioneered many concepts used in today’s LiDAR industry. This legacy of experience has been amassed successfully using LiDAR on projects covering 5 continents and in the most difficult of environments. 

Over the past 25 years, LSI’s development team has produced 5 generations of airborne laser mapping systems from vertical profiling to scanning lasers and is presently completing the 6th generation using leading edge waveform analysis.  This revolutionary new scanner shows great promise to upcoming vegetation and biomass inventory applications.
