LSI has designed and custom-built pods and plates to accommodate various sensor configurations for different aircraft installations.  Each sensor plate utilizes vibration isolation technology in an effort to minimize the effects of vibration unique to each aircraft.  The primary sensors that are mounted on the plate are a scanning laser, IMU and digital camera.  The sensor plate offsets and lever-arm vector (GPS antenna phase center to IMU center) are precisely measured with millimeter-level accuracy using conventional survey techniques.
